A Note From Dr. Pam
I’m someone who loves to be organized and have a plan. I use the Bullet Journal Method to plan and track my days, weeks months and year. I have studied countless theories to map out goals, track progress, and structure projects (I especially enjoy and implement the work of Ben Hardey, PhD). But no matter how good we get at planning, lasting change doesn’t begin with a conceptual or written plan. It begins the moment you decide you’re no longer okay staying the same. You’ve probably felt it before — that quiet moment when frustration turns into resolve. That’s your ignition point. The instant you stop drifting and start deciding. From that moment forward, focus sharpens, energy lifts, and direction begins to form. That single decision is the spark that powers every step toward your future self.
A Moment of Reflection
Where in your life have you felt the pull to change — your health, mindset, or daily habits — but haven’t yet acted? What would shift if you decided today that staying the same was no longer an option?
Try This
Choose one area that’s been draining your energy. Write down what you no longer want — and right beside it, what you do want instead. That simple contrast moves your brain from avoidance to intention, rewiring your focus toward progress instead of problems.
